Press Release: OpenCPI OSPs

In January, Geon announces the release of several OpenCPI OSPs that targeted Zynq-7000 and Zynq UltraScale+ development boards, with a press release preview that an OSP would also be released in the 1st quarter. As promised, Geon is proud to announce the release the OpenCPI Z3u OSP for the Epiq Solution’s Matchstiq Z3u SDR! (This OSP was developed against OpenCPI FOSS v2.2.0.)

As with the previously released OSPs, a “How To Develop an OSP” guide is provided for the Z3u OSP. (Be warned that it is not for the meek!). As a bonus, a “How To Develop a Device Worker” guide is also provided. Its provides steps for implementing OpenCPI support for 1 (of 3) of the I2C buses on the Z3u that is host to three temperature sensors and a clock synthesizer device.

PRESS RELEASE PREVIEW
* Upgrade OSP to support FOSS v2.4.0
* Enable support for the GPS receiver’s UART interface for cmd/cntrl and access to NMEA messages
* Enable support for Synchronizing the Z3u to a 10 MHz or 40 MHz external or 40 MHz internal reference
* Dual receive channel application
* DRC “RELOADED” (don’t know what this means, contact us for more info)

As a reminder, when paired with an FMCOMMS2 daughtercard, these development boards become a very capable SDR.
(These OSPs were developed against OpenCPI FOSS v2.1.0.)
