VITA 49.2

Standardizing System Communications

VITA 49.2 Inquiry Form

The VITA 49.2 Subsystem is Geon’s extensible Intellectual Property (IP) core for ANSI/VITA 49.2-2017 compliant communications on a programmable logic device. VITA 49.2 provides standardized communications across the system while remaining agnostic of the transport backbone used (UDP/IP, PCIe, Aurora, etc). Complete the form below to receive a quote.

Extension packets are custom packets defined for specific applications. If you don't know that you need them, you probably do not. If your answer is Yes, then we will need to have more discussions about your needs.
NOTE: If the answer is yes, we will need to have some further discussions on your application.
An Information Class is a logical specification of how data, context (metadata), and command flows through your system. Two examples of Information Classes are 1) Information Class for time-domain IQ samples with one data packet type and one command packet type and 2) Information Class for frequency-domain PSD samples with one data packet type and one context packet type.
Both of these fields are highly recommended, so it is only a special situation that would mean you answer Yes.
NOTE: If you are using the core for high-rate data, it's often recommended to use multiple instances of the core.
The trailer contains flag bits that indicate data conditions like over-range data, reference locked, etc.
NOTE: If a field is not listed, the core does not support it. Please contact us for more info.
